A lot of venues require you to use their in-house catering or planning team, but we’re happy to welcome the vendors you choose! Whether you’re trying to save some pennies with a budget selection or you must have a specific caterer to fulfill your vision, we’re here for it. Our on-site prep kitchen and staff will work with your team to ensure everyone is on the same page. Plus, you can bring in your own liquor and alcohol as long as you purchase liquor liability insurance. Go ahead, buy those bottles in bulk and save!

2. An All-Inclusive Experience
When you book The Northfork Estate, you get far more than exclusive access to our private 50 acres of land for a day. All of our packages include tables, chairs, and white linens for no fee. Want to upgrade your Detroit wedding experience? We’ve got you! Instead of going through a third-party rental company, you can rent decor items directly from us. From a grand ceremony arch and uplights to vases and other decor elements, our inventory is stocked with details to take your wedding up a notch.
3. Skip the Curfew
That’s right — since you have a private 50-acre estate to yourself, you don’t have to worry about noise violations or sending guests home before the party really started! You get access to The Northfork Estate from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., with guests leaving by midnight. (The extra hour is for clean-up and making sure you have all your gifts ready to go home!) While many Detroit wedding venues charge to extend late-night hours, we don’t charge any fees for guests to stay until midnight. It’s your wedding day, and we think you should party your hearts out without worrying!
4. Luxurious Onsite Amenities
The Northfork Estate offers more than just a ballroom with a dance floor. You also get a choice of multiple indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces to fit your taste. Plus, our beautiful bridal suite is the amazing setting for getting your hair and makeup done in the morning (and sipping on a mimosa perhaps!) and kicking off the day with your wedding party. There’s nothing like having a calm and tranquil retreat amidst the busyness of the big day!
5. Top-Notch Guest Experience
We care about your guests as much as you do. That’s why our team goes out of their way to ensure that all of your guests feel special and attended to throughout their time onsite. In addition to our careful attention to detail and our onsite staff to serve guest needs, we also provide complimentary parking and a golf cart shuttle service for guests to come and go as they please. No more waiting an hour for the hotel shuttle to come back!
6. Pricing Transparency
Our pricing is set to factor in all of the value The Northfork Estate has to offer — no more, no less. While some other venues will throw in hidden fees later in the process (seriously, what’s the point of a cake fee?), we promise that what you see is what you get with us. You can expect to pay around $9,200 for your wedding package, which includes:
- Rehearsal time
- The entire venue to yourself and your guests (we only have one wedding per day!)
- Chair, table, and white linen rentals
- Shuttle service for guests
- Planning collaboration with your vendors leading up to the wedding
- Day-of coordination
- End-of-night tear-down
